Providing both positive behaviour support and psychology, we work closely with individuals, their families, and those who support them to develop and implement person centred positive behaviour support plans and individual therapy plans.

One Step Ahead provides specialised supervision for behaviour support practitioners across all levels of endorsement under the NDIS Capability Framework, to achieve their professional development goals and improve their clinical practice.

PBS Supervision & Training

FAQ
A behaviour support practitioner is trained to provide effective and evidence-based strategies to support the reduction of behaviours of concern. Behaviour support practitioners can also develop functional behaviour assessment reports to assist with a thorough understanding of an individual's behaviours. All clinicians at one step ahead have extensive experience with the reporting and elimination of restrictive practices across NSW, QLD, and VIC.
What does a psychologist do?
Psychologists are trained in understanding human behaviour and can assist in completing specialised assessments and individualised treatment plans to improve your well-being, quality of life and capacity. Psychologists can help with;

How much do services cost?

Our clinical services (behaviour support and psychology), are billed at the NDIS recommended rate.

Where are in-person supports offered?
Face-to-face supports are available in New South Wales the Midnorth Coast, Newcastle, Nepean, Liverpool, and Greater Western Sydney. Telehealth services are available nationally.

Can I choose the clinician I work with?
Yes - we understand the importance of being able to work with a clinician who aligns with your values and has expertise in assessing and providing intervention for your specific support needs. Upon completing an enquiry or referral, please specify which clinician you would prefer to work with.

What do services provided by One Step Ahead include?
One Step Ahead is committed to providing individualised supports, and services provided to each individual will differ depending on their NDIS and personal goals, funding available (NDIS or privately funded) and frequency of supports.

For individuals who have not been funded for behaviour support and require this service, our clinicians can assist in developing an assessment and recommendations report to advocate for Improved Relationships funding in your next NDIS plan.
