What do the changes in the NDIS Price Guide mean for you, and what is One Step Ahead doing?

The NDIS has released its updated Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for 2025–2026, effective from July 1, 2025. Some of these changes may have a significant impact on how your funding can be used, and your current supports. Here's a breakdown of the key updates:

General changes

  • All rates are now the same across all states and territories, as well as across regional and remote areas.

  • Services can now be billed in 10-minute increments, offering flexibility in session length.

Billing for Travel

  • Travel time for therapy supports is now billable at 50% of the standard hourly rate.

  • Travel for metro areas is now capped at 30 minutes, totaling $58.25 (based on $232.99 rate).

  • Travel for regional areas is now capped at 60 minutes, totaling $116.50 (based on $232.99 rate).

Psychology and Behaviour Support

  • Hourly price limit for both services has increased from $222.99 to $232.99

Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology

  • There are no changes to the pricing for speech pathology and occupational therapy services - this now sits at $193.99 nationally.

Physiotherapy

  • The hourly rate has decreased by $10, setting the new national price limit at $183.99.

Dietetics & Podiatry

  • Both services have seen a $5 reduction, bringing their rates to $188.99 per hour.

Early Childhood Supports

  • The early childhood approach now covers children up to 9 years old, an increase from 7 years.

What does this mean for us at One Step Ahead?

We’ll be updating our service agreements to reflect the new rate for Behaviour Support & Psychology. Your clinician will complete and schedule of supports with you outlining how your funding will be used.

Your NDIS plan funding should increase to match this change - this means that you won't lose potential sessions due to the increased rate. If you're unsure, please contact your local area coordinator.

We will still be providing face to face visits – in your homes, in the community, wherever you need us. To help ensure we're able to make the most out of your funding and in person appointments, you're clinician will discuss available options.

We proudly stand with our fellow allied health therapists calling for a fair review of the travel changes and price guide – especially for those making a difference in regional and remote communities. Please visit Now or Never (https://www.itsnowornever.com.au/) for more information.
